When the alarm clock of life goes off, do you wake up?  Hit the snooze?  Eventually grumble out of bed?  Or do you jump out of bed with passion and excitement because you are sooo excited to be you, to be living your life?

Most people who struggle with waking up do not do so when they are on a great vacation and a tee time awaits, or they are going skiing on a great sunny powder day!  They so want to have that experience, they can't wait to get out of bed!  So why isn't your day to day like that?  One of the measurements that I use for clients is their excitement of getting out of bed... or their reluctance to get out.  And when you realize that this pivotal experience, how you wake up and get out of bed to experience the day and your life, lays the foundation... AND... this is a "program," then you have a number of powerful options that you weren't aware of yesterday.

"I am not a morning person."  Oh bull!  You wake up for the things that you love... you are not a "you" person, excited to be you.

"I just can’t get out of bed."  Oh bull!  When you look forward to your day, or what IS coming that morning, you get out of bed.

"I just hit the snooze over and over again."  Ok, this is a little longer explanation:

Take time this weekend, and you need about 20- 30 minutes.  WRITE down what your ideal morning routine would look like.  For example, "The night before, I have laid out my workout clothes in the closet.  When the alarm goes off, I plug my iPod in my ear, which has my favorite wake up song, 'Eye of the Tiger.'  I take a moment to just be thankful that I am alive, I feel great, I can't wait for my morning to begin.  I jump into my workout clothes, I go downstairs to the treadmill, I run for 30 minutes, and so on...."

Now, get in pajamas, go to bed, set your alarm clock ahead one or two minutes, when it goes off, jump out of bed, put your workout clothes on, put your iPod in, CELEBRATE your New You Truth, that you LOVE to wake up to be you, treadmill for a min or two, really sink the celebration in... and go back to the bedroom, and repeat this TEN times!

Watch what happens on Monday morning when your alarm clock goes off...

Where else can you use this tool in your life?

Most people when faced with difficult times will only continue to do what they have always done, but they will work it harder, be more persistent, research more, intensify, or even just get louder! As the times get even tougher (like the abyss many are in now,) they will just continue to intensify all these behaviors.

As the times continue to toughen, these intense patterns begin to break down under the toxic stress and anxiety of worrying about "how am I going to get out of this?" or "how am I going to survive this?"

As psychological systems break down, there is even a very brief period where you will create all-out intensity in order to fabricate, or hope for, short term survival. Primitive systems that you fixed and stopped using, even long ago ones, will begin to come into effect or return.  Therefore, when a technique, tool, or belief that you have used for the last five years for your success is not working and you've tried harder to make it work and it still isn't creating success, you begin to revert to older systems in desperation or in the mistaken assumption that somehow, some way, this is the only thing you know how to do to survive.

It takes a rare individual to be able to say "stop the insanity," and "I have to completely reinvent myself now more than ever, now in the middle of this crisis, now in the middle of the abyss when it doesn't look like anything that I am doing is creating success or survival for me.  NOW!  Now of all times - I must reinvent myself!" It's a dangerous and scary philosophy, it's out of our comfort zone, and it is counter intuitive. Now is when life is demanding you to try a new strategy.  You must create a break-through to survive, succeed, and thrive at a new, incredibly intense, risky level or in a changing, difficult, and often dangerous world.

So when you do this self examination, be cognizant that the rules that you used during the easy times are not always the rules that survive during the tough times.  You really have to look at both scenarios and decide what works best, what is your deepest truth, and how are you designed and set up to survive and excel in difficult times. It's an examination that many are afraid to do.

how to overcome procrastination

Procrastination creates a huge obstacle for achieving goals, being successful, and managing your time. According to wikipedia, it is the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of lower priority, or doing something from which one derives enjoyment, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time.” This can create numerous problems, both psychological and physiological. This behavior will tend to create higher levels of stress and anxiety which has negative effects on the nervous system and hormone level. It can also create feelings of inadequacy, low confidence, learned helplessness, and impulsiveness. Ultimately, procrastination is a bad habit that can be very hard to break and will create a downward spiral in both your personal and professional life.

However, there is a positive side to this seemingly disastrous behavior. This new strategy on how to overcome procrastination is sure to wow you. Laziness and short term thinking were beneficial to the evolution of humans. Laziness developed as a way of preserving energy and time, and the avoidance of labor was necessary for short term survival when food was at a low. Short term thinking is also advantageous when dealing with day-to-day survival, and more developed countries lack pressure on short term survival and rewards long term thinking and strategies.

So how do you overcome this habit, or turn it into a useful strategy? Well think about this, why not procrastinate on things that are bad for you? Procrastinate on sitting on the couch and watching t.v., procrastinate on eating that extra donut, on smoking that cigarette. It is up to you to choose on what you procrastinate on, you have the power to change this behavior around and make it beneficial for you. If it is a habit that is deeply rooted in your genes, then all you can do is reframe it and use it to your advantage. So next time you are thinking of putting off that report, that college paper, that important phone call, tell yourself to procrastinate on the thing you would rather do instead. Get used to delayed gratification, you have a choice now make the right one!

Think of all the arguments and conflict you have with your relationship. how to have healthy relationships

Most of the time, these conflicts are not the real discrepancy: they are not the real point of pain.  They are only those vehicles that are safe enough and close enough to the real issue so that the conflict and drama may be carried out, but resolution is never possible when you are not chasing the real problem.

So for instance, I see couples all the time in my office conflicted over money, control, sex, in-laws, or even children.  The deeper truth, however, is the conflict might actually be over respect or unconditional forgiveness or other deep rooted psychological programs and patterns.  But the couple cannot fight over those issues because they are far too dangerous to the relationship and really to the Self.  They will invest time and energy in what they unconsciously select as an appropriate program to argue.

Most relationships are not magical (over 90%.)  Not because they can't or don't, it's because they don't' know what magic means to them, what it looks like, or know the road map to get there.  Relationships for the most part are unconscious, and we are not taught how to do this even though we are educated to the nth degree in many areas in our lives.

In knowing how to have healthy relationships the first critical area to understand is setting the standard either with your spouse within the relationship or for your search. Some may call these rules, but standards carry more weight, commitment, and criticality.  On the negative side, for instance, if you have a low standard around fidelity or physical abuse it is much easier for you to cheat or strike your significant other.  That's pretty obvious.  What is less so is our standards for communication, conflict resolution, seeking a common success vs. avoiding the common pain, etc.  Magical relationships really drive standards into every area of their relationship.

Focus on, practice, and commit to the highest standards of integrity, truth, honor, and commitment in every area of your relationship. Before you know it you will no longer ask yourself how to have healthy relationships. And watch the real magic that develops (and if you can't do this either because you're in pain or your search hasn't yielded you your soul mate or true lifetime partner - there is a reason why you're blocked) You deserve an extraordinary, magical, and awesome love...

We are now three weeks into 2013, and usually by this time most people have already given up on their New Year resolutions. Maybe they hit the gym hard for the first week, missed a couple days the second week, and only went once last week. Maybe they went a few days without a cigarette, snuck one in here and there over a couple weeks, now they’re back to a half a pack a day. Maybe they cut down on their daily alcoholic drinks and now they’re back to a few glasses of wine a night. Or maybe they are one of the 10% who are still going strong with new habits, and I congratulate that! But why do so many people give up on their resolutions? Why is it so hard to change just one simple thing?

The first thing you have to look at and this may be an obvious one, did you write it down? Studies have shown that 65% of people do not even write their goals down; they haven’t even committed their goals to paper! There are a number of studies that show that people who write their goals down are 80% more likely to achieve them than people who don’t write them down. So the importance of placing your resolutions down on paper so you commit to them, remember them, and clarify them will help you get what you want.

Another main reason people have a hard time sticking to their resolutions is that their “Why”, their reason for doing it, is not big enough. In order to make any sort of change, small or large, and make it instantly and easily, they must be clear on why they want the change now. Once the “Why” is clear and they feel great about it, then the “benefits” of changing that behavior outweigh the “benefits” of the actual behavior.

An easy solution to your difficulties could be in the accountability you create for yourself. Find a buddy who will go to the gym with you, someone who will be dedicated to meeting you there every day. Tell a close friend to kick you in the shin every time you take a drag of a cigarette. Write a check out to your favorite charity with your entire savings account, give it to someone you deeply trust, and tell them to mail it if you slip once in your efforts to resolve anything! Become elaborate; make it worth your change. You should make it something that will remind you of your “Why.”

There are many different strategies to stick to your resolutions, and it all starts with changing your current ones that are holding you back. Have any more questions, ready to find YOUR “Why?” Then come to our New Year Revolution Seminar on Jan. 31st and learn the strategies and tools that will ensure you a magical and amazing 2013! Delve into your resolutions and make this the year that change is inevitable! Visit www.theinevitableyou.com/nyr to register.

With all the hype surrounding Dec. 21, 2012 and the “end of the world” culminating in a couple of days, let me offer you another scenario that will hopefully shed some light on this notorious date.

The world will not abruptly come to an end on Dec. 21st. In fact, NASA released an article addressing the possible scenarios that doomsday believers have been talking about. They basically said that there is absolutely no evidence that shows there will be a catastrophic event and that it will just be “another winter solstice” which occurs every year on the 20th or 21st of December.

The date also marks the end of a current cycle in the Mayan Long Count calendar which has been misinterpreted by many people as the end of the world. This cycle (called a b’ak’tun) lasts for 144,000 days, or approximately 394 years, and a new cycle will begin on Dec. 22nd. The Mayans did not view this as the end of the world or prophesize any catastrophic events, they just acknowledge it as the beginning of a new era.

However, this new era could mean many things for mankind, and one theory is that it marks a huge transformation in human consciousness. And this could mean many different things for each individual. Some plausible explanations include more open-mindedness, acceptance of others, cooperation with others, increased awareness, extrasensory perception, and much more. What this ultimately will affect is how you perceive reality and your ability to create the life that you want. The more conscious you become of your power, the world around you, and how you interact with the world, the better you will get at creating your reality.

So which reality do you wish to believe? A world that completely end in two days? Or a brand new world that is unfolding before your eyes that allow you to create the life you want, attract the things you desire, and a new beginning for mankind? You have had the ability to create your reality since birth, and now is the time to truly embrace your potential and live your life by conscious design.

The question is, what are you doing today to make your life better? If the world doesn’t end in two days, what are you going to do differently on the 22nd to start this new era to benefit you and your kids and their kids and generations after? You can start by being more conscious of who you are, what holds you back from greatness, and how to create the reality you want!

When you look at your predominate emotions, most people, 90% of the time, are in a negative emotional state. They are worried about stuff, fearful the day isn’t going to go right, and scared that bad things are going to happen to them. What they don’t realize is that they can easily control those emotions.

The instant you create meaning for anything that happens or will happen to you, whether it’s “I’m really happy” or “I’m really depressed right now.”, the brain automatically begins telling the body how to feel. Billions of chemicals called neuropeptides instantly flood the body, and each emotion has its own unique chemical structure. These little chemicals will float around and it will tell the cells what to “feel” because it will chemically change –everything about that cell changes based on the chemical messages from the brain. It becomes happy or pissed off, nervous or calm, afraid or confident. That’s how we feel. Think about it, when you have feelings in your body you really feel it. When you feel happy you feel light, you feel joyous, and you feel good. When you feel angry you’re toxic, you’re pissed, you’re smoldering. Your emotions and your physiology are intimately interconnected.

For example:

  1. Jenny sees a snake
  2. Jenny interprets situation as dangerous
  3. Jenny’s brain releases chemicals (neuropeptides)
  4. Jenny screams and runs away in fear

This process also works in reverse! If you want to change the emotions, one of the easiest ways to do it is change the body first.

A John Hopkins study on the clinically depressed and bi polar patients: about 6000 people were divided into four groups. One group continued on their meds, ¼ got placebos, and ¼ was a control group and got nothing. The fourth group had to smile 400 times a day. They’ve been clinically depressed and taken off their meds and told to smile 400 times a day and it’s a grimace at best. Here’s what they found: Not by an incremental improvement but by an order of magnitude improvement, the group that was told to smile had the most improvement in happiness! Whether it was day 1 or day 12 or day 30, when did they start becoming real smiles and when did they stop being depressed? It’s immaterial. What’s important is that the people who took it seriously started to become happy.

Emotions are hard wired to your body. You cannot be depressed when you’re smiling.

Change your physiology and you will change the emotions you feel and the thoughts you have. What other emotions can you feel or control just by changing your physiology?

Our membership offers dozens of tools that teach you how to master your emotions. Click Here for more information and sign up for your 2-week FREE trial today!

The first thing to know about change is to understand that most people focus on "how" and less on the "Why."  However, it's absolutely critical to know the "Why" first.  When you now the "why", the "how" becomes easier.  For purposes of this newsletter, we'll assume you know why the change you are seeking must take place,  (and certainly we have discussed this in other newsletters.)  The "how" is influenced by several key beliefs to creating lasting change.  First of all, you must have certainty that your current situation is not working or is intolerable, and it has to change now.  The key word in that sentence is NOW.  As in all change, many people believe change is a process and will work towards change.  But in reality, what the latest science teaches us about change is that it is not a process but an instant, a moment, a blink, whereby:  (a) You STOP doing something you no longer want to do, and/or... (b) You START doing something you do want to do.   If you plan for your change to happen in the future, whether  it is tomorrow, or next week, or next month, the way the brain really works is this: While it can cognitively think of and ponder the future, mechanically speaking and process wise, the brain works in only two time frames: now and not now.  So as long as you program something in the future, in reality, what that means to your mind is this, "I'm not going to do the change now."   Therefore, change Rule #1 is,  "This is not working, it's intolerable, and it has to change now." This is the first step to creating this lasting redesign and making it stick.

Rule #2: "I must act immediately to change it."  Several key words are in this program command.  It implies it is not someone else, it's not the team, it's not anything else.  In order for your reality in the world to change, you have to take ownership and you must versus "I should" or "I need to" or "I want to". These are all "failure with honor" words.  I must act - meaning - when you wake up, the day you make your change and your shift and your redesign real, you must act immediately to change it.  This means that you must act immediately when you wake up to begin changing the things that you do, the things you are thinking about, the emotions you are holding..... everything must change!

The final component to creating this lasting change is the fact that the only one who can change it is you, and you have the ability to do it.  "I can change it now.  I must change it now.  This redesign that I want is absolutely critical to what I want to create for myself."

When you think about the big changes you have created in your life or your organization, they generally came at the end of some amount of pain - chronic pain, massive pain or some amount of pleasure, or massive ability to have a vision for what you wanted.  So you either wanted that incredible part in a play, or captain of that sports team, or to make that sports team, or to learn that instrument.  Or, you were motivated by the pain, you couldn't tolerate an overweight body anymore, or you were going to a reunion, or you were going to appear in a wedding, or you were fired from a job, or you had someone leave you.  Something happened painful that you woke up and you said, "I've hit bottom, I'm done with this."

The "I can change" and the ability to wake up that day and begin focusing on the new thought patterns, massively, immediately, with all of your committed level creates the momentum for the change to be real and to stick.  With this momentum, even if it was a huge effort to change, you got through it.  The times you haven't changed generally lies in the arena that you believe that you can't change.  Or you believe that change is possible, that others can change, but that you really aren't able to do it that well.  You will then create a story as to why you can't change and hide that truth.  Or maybe you don't want to change.  Your current situation serves you in a way that allows you to create an equation that you have more fear attached to the changed state or there is less of a desire to do something NOW in order to change.  So you don't want to change - you also create a story to hide the truth.  Sometimes, we just tell ourselves "we don't know how to change," "oh, that's really hard," or "I'm not sure how I would do that," "I'm not sure how I would be that person".  In that space, you will not change.  You will create a story that will hide your lack of change.

At the end of the day, what is critical to this process is that you look at the redesigned you.  You must be the redesigned you, the reinvented you, and you must be there absolutely now whether that's baby steps, big steps, a complete cold turkey-flip-of-the switch - "I must be that person today" -- whether it's motivated by pain or pleasure.  There will be a component of "now" and there will be ownership and responsibility that you are the one that has to do it.  You will not even worry so much about how you will do it because the why will be so big, that the "how's" will appear as you journey towards the destination of the new, reinvented you.

Within all of the teachings I offer,  there is always a new chapter beyond this one.   You will win, you will find your peace, and you'll make something happen.  Look back five years in your life and look at the things that you worried about, that motivated you, that created your success or limited you and held you back from great achievements.  It doesn't matter today,  five years ago is almost laughable.  Five years from today, all your pain, all your worry, all your anxiety and all your fear will also be laughable.   There will be a new monster, five years from now that is busy chasing you, causing you to grow, causing you to change as you engage in this amazing journey called life!

Create a fantastic one!

Too often, therapy dwells on your past rather than on where you’re going.

Now don’t get me wrong, therapy can help you feel good about where you are and give you some understanding of your past patterns.

But to become the greatest version of you, you need more than to just understand the past.

You need to gain an understanding of the patterns and equations that were created in the past and that which continue to govern your life.

Change the patterns and equations, change your life.

And the great news is that this is not as hard to do as one might think.

Most people believe that change is a difficult process and a lengthy process.

They believe it is hard to make even minute changes.

This is old-pattern thinking.

Change can happen in an instant.

Either you start doing something that you want to do or you stop doing something that you no longer want to do. That’s it!

Everything else is clutter and noise.

What you need to do is learn how to cut to the place where change happens and implement what you want instantly.

It is possible!

As a leader, do you listen to your subordinates tell you their truth and punish them if they disagree with you, or dismiss them if they are contrary to your direction, or do you thank them and honor them whether you agree or not?

Do you massively, immediately reward the fact that they opposed your position with integrity and disagreed with you?

Unfortunately, many leaders create an environment where it is not safe to be a person of integrity.  People who speak the truth in staff meetings are often punished.  And if you sit quietly and say nothing, you are rewarded as a "team player."  Integrity demands that your authentic self is always passionately present.

Set an intention to lead:  Everything that happens or fails to happen is your responsibility.  Period.  You own everything as a leader.  The success, the failure, the sideways movements, the challenges, the crisis, the resolutions, everything!  People will respond powerfully to this.  Don't blame, don't make excuses, don't complain - be committed to your outcomes either set consensually with the teams or by you as an inspired, passionate leader, but be committed to the outcome.  Do not be committed to your political success and make decisions, actions, and communications contingent on a triangulated shifting position designed to minimize your failure.  You own everything.  Know that, live that, celebrate that!  If you are that kind of leader, your team will follow you anywhere at any time.

Know your "why" (why must you be a great leader?):  When the why is big enough, reasons, answers, and the "how" will appear.  Trying to make sure that you are safe, avoiding failure, and limiting your downside, and calling that "the upside" is not great leadership.  You must know WHY.  The "why" will sustain the team through the thick and the thin times.  Because it is the "why" that will provide the fuel for the passionate fires burning to tap into the team's greatest potential!  When you know your "why" (and use great words, emotional language, and powerful phrases to describe your "why", you will be gratified and amazed at the great results that you will achieve.  The great challenges that you will also attract will be the fuel to grow the great results!)  There will be a deeply satisfying resolution of all the things that conflict you and the team when the why is big enough.

You can find tons of useful information and tools to become a phenomenal leader in your business and personal life with The Inevitable You® Membership!

The Law of Attraction(LOA) says there is nothing, nothing, and no exceptions, nothing in your life today that you did not attract (meaning you asked for it, believed in it and received it.)

This is really tough for some people because they go, “No way did I ask for that! I did not want that to happen to me. I don’t want that pain. I don’t want that.” Because they do not want something is the very driver and generator of that very thing being present in their life. They do not sit there and go, “Here’s what I DO want” with the same intensity.

In the deepest levels of LOA, one of the places that people have problems with, for example, is “I got mugged.” “Well, how could you say I attracted a tsunami or a disaster?” The fact of the matter is when you look at very powerful attractors they are the ones that were supposed to be at the tsunami or they missed their plane or they were supposed to be somewhere where bad juju was supposed to happen and some mysterious way they weren’t.

I was with a buddy of mine and he was talking about a classmate who was working in the World Trade Center towers and several weeks before was diagnosed with cancer. His first chemo date was 9/11. For two weeks he was very depressed, how did he get cancer? He realized cancer saved his life. If he didn’t have chemo he would have been on the 104th floor that day. So, there are people that say this is bs, he just had cancer and there is no connection, and other people, like me, say, no. He attracted his power.

I was working with a company and one woman got furious with me. She said my dad was the most amazing man, full of joy. You cannot tell me he attracted his cancer that killed him. I refuse to believe it. Here’s what I told her, anytime we get people in the bell curve of evidence, people will go to the baby that was murdered and say “you will not tell me that baby attracted that.”

Are you asking the question because you really understand the LOA and you are seeking a higher level of understanding and you want to know how the LOA works in the extreme? Are you looking for the most ridiculous thing to invalidate the law so you can discount the other 99% of the time, meaning you didn’t get the promotion that you claimed you wanted or the diet that failed that you claimed you worked your ass off for or all the other shit in your life that you don’t have – are you asking me this question so you can feel good about the 99% of the things in your life that you don’t have? Or do you really get this 99% because we look at this and it’s all very clear cut and straight forward whether you are looking at it from a neural chemistry perspective, or an energy perspective, or religious perspective, and you really want to know the answer to this? Or is this just about discounting the facts so that you don’t have to wake up tomorrow and be challenged to change your life at all?

And the answer is most people look for ways to discount.

Follow these five steps to any LOA moment, anything you want to create for yourself. These five steps are easy steps. We follow these steps a lot of times unconsciously. I want you to take these five steps and apply them to something consciously.

Step 1. Know what you want

Step 2. Know why it’s a must

Step 3. Take massive action

Step 4. Have sensory awareness to your results

Step 5. Change your approach

Exercise: pick something, a problem or a challenge that has some meat to it and that you will consciously step through these five steps and go “what is it we want in the face of this problem, is it the standard that we want it to, do we know why we have to solve this problem? What’s the actions we need to take or are we in the process, know what’s going on, why it’s working or not working and the status that it is and if there are multiple approaches to the problem go well, this is option a, plan b, roadmap c. Walk through your ability to look at different solutions to this problem.

The Inevitable You® system teaches people that their “mental software” (programs and patterns that create reality for them), are generally baked in by the age of 5. Traditional psychology and neural sciences both agree on this notion. The way that they view themselves, interact with the world, and perceive and create meanings for the things that happen to them are programmed into the psyche at a very early age. These programs are modified by life experiences, but the blueprint and framework of their psychology is set by the age of 5 by their Family of Origin (parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, etc.) Generally, you can find these programs by looking at family sayings that you have lived by because the language contains hints to the “mental software” that is running in you and your family of origin.

For example, what you think if a parent told a child “It doesn’t matter how strong or fast YOU are, it matters how hard you work.” Sounds like a decent thing to say to motivate a child right to succeed, right? Take a deeper look at the program behind the sentence. What kind of child would you say that to? “It doesn’t matter how strong or fast YOU are…”, you would only say that to a child who is slow and weak! So the hidden program behind the sentence that the child’s brain is interpreting is that they are slow and weak, not strong or fast. Who do you think the slow and weak person is in this scenario? Yeah, the parent who said the sentence is the slow and weak one. And it’s not that the parent is bad for saying that sentence, it’s just the mental software that is running that forms the saying.

Take a look at your family sayings and look really close at them and find the hidden program behind them. What you once thought was helping you succeed in life could actually be holding you back because of these rogue programs that are running in your mental software. What is your one sentence that you repeat over and over? What is the one sentence that your parents always say to you that might be running unconsciously?

If you need help identifying these programs and illusions, The Inevitable You® has over 170 tools that you can use to do just that. Try our membership for 2 weeks FREE, for more information or to sign up please visit www.theinevitableyou.com/membership-benefits.

I am offering a “Psychology of Champions” workshop on February 16th from 3:00-6:00 at The Inevitable You® classroom in Littleton.  In preparation for this workshop, I am providing some homework that includes questions for you and your family to ponder.  Come prepared for an accelerated, fast-paced workshop!

There are many factors and ways to transform your psychology from good or above-average to CHAMPION.  One way is to examine your Beliefs - your core belief system is the foundation to empower you to become a Champion.  How can you transform and change your beliefs when “Come on you can do it!” is not enough motivation for you?   There is a neural science behind transforming your beliefs.

To prepare for the workshop section on your beliefs, I want you to write down two paragraphs. In the first paragraph I want you to write down all the empowering thoughts and beliefs (a belief is defined as anything you hold at virtually 100 % reality as the truth) that empowers you, that you draw strength from, that exists in your psychology that is driving you to become a champion.  Examples might be:

         No matter how bad the ref is, no amount of bad bounces, nothing will stop me, I am going to come out on top.
         I have everything I need, and with hard work I will eventually create and exceed my goal.
         I may not be the most talented player, but I have the heart of a champion.

The second paragraph you must work on with the same intensity, truth, and reality are those beliefs that disempower you, weaken you, or hold you back. (And I urge this intensity because for many, this arena contains the most fear and shadows.  You will be well served by going deep on this when you experience the exercises.)  Examples might be:

         No matter how hard I try, I am not likely to come out on top.
         I do the best I can, but I am afraid that my best is not good enough.
         Champions are far more talented or lucky than I am.

Have your children complete the same exercises.  It is best not to interfere or attempt to influence their thought process.  Let them work independently.  Afterward, have a great family discussion about what everyone has written.  Then, come prepared to discuss your Beliefs and explore new revelations and empowering truths.  The new reality is you CAN  become a Champion.

I really look forward to seeing you and those families that can make it on the 16th!

Spirituality is something that every human contemplates… what does it mean to be spiritual. It is the battle of the ages, because everyone has their own opinion on what spirituality means to them. And that is exactly it, being spiritual is different for everyone. Whether they find spirituality through church every Sunday, or meditation, it is a way of contacting the higher being in which belief is found. Having faith is an essential and important aspect to the human race. Never let the power of your faith, your essence, and your prayer be affected by an outside source. It is your choice to believe…

With so much going on in the world today, some days it is important to step back and breathe. Everybody wants to tell you their opinion. Instead think of what your faith means to you… Consider your options, what do you choose today? Do you choose happiness… sadness… optimism. Whatever it is, the options are endless, and more importantly they are your choice. Because you have the ability to manage how you open yourself up. Spirituality is the inner path a person takes to discover your essence. What is your meaning in life? What is the greatest version of you? God whoever/whatever she or he is, they want each of us to be happy. Because we are magnificent, incredible creations! We are unique; we walk in greatness, breath in happiness, and most importantly show faith. What other creature does what humans do? What creature has the ability to not only feel, but to communicate those feelings? The word essence is so important, no wonder it is essential for people to find faith in someone or something. Without it, we would be another person lost in the crowd. But the day we choose faith, we choose spirituality, and we choose prayer, we become a unique, and absolutely incredible soul, here to find the fire in which we are lit with.

The best way to define life coaching is to compare it to counseling and traditional therapy. While there are some similarities, coaching is very different because it focuses on strengths and skills and develops strategic plans for achieving goals. Generally, the focus of therapy is to “heal” the patient by relieving pain and “fixing” psychological problems. You are not broken and there is nothing wrong with you, it’s just the strategies and psychology you have been using that has gotten where you are today. Coaching points out which strategies and neural patterns are preventing you from creating the life you want, and helps you form new strategies and patterns to achieve your goals.

Therapy, which is a much more reflective and softer science, is really designed to take the “adult you” back to the “little you” and go “Look, it’s not your fault. You did the best you could.”  Then come back to today and tell you “It’s ok that you’re broken, it’s ok that things aren’t ok, it’s ok that you have these scars.” This is coaching, it’s very directive. It will teach you tools, put exercises in place so you use them. When people replace the neural psychology and software that they use to create reality, absolutely everything changes for them. Coaching is a very directed environment where you are provided with tools/exercises, questions and answers, options, consequences of making a change, and layers of evolution to take it further. You are building, growing, directed, inspired, and guided.

There are a number of reasons why The Inevitable You® is different from other coaching systems. It blends the best of psychology, meaning what is in your mind, with a very emotional and heart centered system. 65% of the planet does not even write goals down.  They are not even in the game!

So if you look at your to-do list, and say, "I've got a pretty good to-do list," know that just to write a pretty good to-do list gets you into the top 35% of the population.  To actually write it as a very solid list of goals, and actually be comprehensive, and start writing it as a plan, begins to move you up the ladder of success.  (Most start from nothing written down, or something in their head, and you must realize that they might write down their grocery list, but they don't write down the greatest things that they need to do in order to grow their business or relationships, for example.)

Therefore, holistically, whether it's your health, your love, your spirituality, your career and business -

1. Write it down.  Be really honest with yourself and assess, what have I written down today?

2. You are now in the top 35% because you have stuff written down, even if  you have a to do list.

To get up to the 90 percentile, it is still a to-do list, but it is very comprehensive, it is very detailed, and it has complete, comprehensive information.  At the 90%, people get very powerful as well because they have consistent discipline to SCHEDULE their steps and goals as well.

In order to break into the top 10%, you need to go into a format that is known as S.M.A.R.T. Goals. S.M.A.R.T.  stands for Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-base.

So, to say that, "I am going to grow my business," is not S.M.A.R.T.

To say that, "I am going to create an extra $10,000 in revenue in Q3 with $5,000 coming in August and $5,000 coming in September," is S.M.A.R.T.  It's specific, you can measure it, you can actually act on it. You know what you need to do to generate $10,000 of business. If it is realistic or not, you get to decide that, and there are time-frames to it.

To write that down, now leads to the next step where you are writing down S.M.A.R.T. sub-steps to that, to say, "okay, I am going to get a marketing brochure.  It will be produced by August 10th for the new promotion,  and it is going to cost me nothing because I am going to self publish it," or, "I have budgeted $500 to print it," or, whatever.  Next, "I am going to mail it, I am going to send it here, I am going to do this with it."  You begin doing all of the sub-steps necessary to create the top down goal approach that is S.M.A.R.T.

If you do this, you are now in the top 10%.  If you do it well, and you do it comprehensively in the areas of your life that you are really focused on, even better!
