8. How is coaching different
  from therapy?

Too often, therapy dwells on your past rather than on where you’re going. Therapy helps you feel good about where you are and gives some understanding to past patterns. Then you receive great anchors about the unresourceful state that you are in. Coaching does not dwell on the past, it merely records the patterns and equations which were created then and which continue to govern your life. Change the patterns and equations, change your life. And the great news is that this is not as hard as you think. Most people believe that change is a process, it is lengthy, and it is generally hard to get minute changes.  This is old-pattern thinking.  Change happens in an instant.  Either you start doing something that you want to do or you stop doing something that you no longer want to do. That’s it!  Everything else is clutter and noise. Learn how to cut to the change place and implement what you want instantly. It is possible!

If you focus on the past, you get what you always got. William Sumner is not a “feel good” guy — he’s a coach, a personal trainer, to actively work with you to see through the stories you tell yourself to achieve the outcomes you desire.
